Eco-friendly vehicles face an uphill struggle
July 12th, 2010A recent online poll commissioned by the 2010 Bridgestone Eco Rally (an event showcasing eco-friendly vehicle technology) has shown that almost a quarter of people who responded would not consider buying an eco-friendly vehicle.
Concerns by respondents varied but the main ones were worries over the hassle they perceive when filling or charging, buying and running expenses and perceived lack of power compared to ‘standard’ models.
The event, which is in its fourth year, uses a convoy of eco-friendly vehicles travelling from Brighton to London to demonstrate the latest developments in this area and has attracted support from many celebrities and motor manufacturers.
