NVQ Level 2 Plant Operations

The primary objective of the Plant Operations qualification is to contribute to the development of a competent workforce as a whole. This can be done where possible by integrating N/SVQs into the organisation’s models for personnel and business development and recognising the competence of the people who make up the workforce at all levels. As NVQ’s are work-based qualifications they require the candidate to demonstrate their competency when carrying out their activities. This is achieved by an A1 qualified NVQ assessor observing the candidate in the course of their normal duties and as they focus on how the candidate performs these duties the NVQs are a user friendly route to gaining a qualifications.

The Plant Operations qualification has been designed to be used in a range of occupational areas for people who are either:

• employed in plant operations as a plant operator requiring preparing the plant or machinery before operating to either lift and transfer loads or for accessing
• employed in plant operations as a slinger signaller/loader securer requiring preparing the plant or machinery before operating to direct and guide the movement and to arrange and secure the load

Completing the NVQ Level 2 Plant Operations will enable your staff to:

N/SVQs are based on national occupational standards. They recognise that candidates who have demonstrated their ability to reach the standard have the skill and associated knowledge to work safely and competently at the appropriate level in their chosen area.

Those not completing the full qualification can gain a certificate for the assessment routes that they have achieved.

NVQ Level 2 Warehousing & Storage

This qualification is suitable for those working within warehousing and storage environments, where their job role requires them to handle goods manually, move, store, process and maintain the quality and condition of the stock. This NVQ is made up of mandatory and optional units making it suitable for a variety of working environments.

As with the Plant Operations NVQ , completing the NVQ Level 2 Warehousing & Storage will enable your staff to:
